I live in Rugby and the other day I suddenly realised that the tax on my car was due. My heart sank as I realised that I also had to get the mot done and I was really worried that the car might not pass the test. I rang a friend who knew a mechanic who could do an Mot Rugby but I was worried about how quickly he could do it and whether my car would pass. The mechanic rang me and told me he could do the Mot Rugby the very next day. I was so grateful to him and he sounded so reasonable. He told me that if there was anything wrong with the car he would only do what was necessary to pass the Mot Rugby and we would worry about anything else later. I turned up the next day and handed over the keys but was still worried about the possible cost of this mot. However, when I returned two hours later, I was pleasantly surprised. The car had passed the mot with no additional work to be done. I was absolutely amazed but really thrilled as well. This meant that I could afford to tax the car for the whole year without getting into debt!
